Who will defend our democracy?

Has your Council/Board considered the threat Bill 21 poses to #democracy and #localgovernment autonomy? 🏛If community leaders won’t stand up for our democracy, who will? ⁉️

Victoria, Calgary, Montreal, Brampton and Kitchener have all passed resolutions against this law which violates our constitution.

Calgary Council’s resolution states that wearing religious symbols is a fundamental right, as written in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
